UCAS points: not all universities use tariff points as part of their entry requirements - only grades. Click on the UCAS points hyperlink to find out more. BTECs are graded as Pass, Merit, Distinction, Distinction* which convert to points. Please do a little research to discover whether tariff points will be acceptable on a degree course of your choice.
Students please note when making a decision about core maths. Our experience to date is that some psychology degree providers often require a Level 6 at GCSE in mathematics to be considered for the course. More importantly, if you are thinking of an apprenticeship at Gen 2, then level 6 is necessary to be considered for various degree apprenticeship - please check the requirements.
STEM provide up to date information on endorsement by universities relating to core mathematics. In certain circumstances, for example if a student has not met a minimum GCSE maths requirement, some universities may also consider achievement in a Core Maths qualification instead.
